Robert Sutton, 45, of Stratford was arrested around 12:42 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, after Milford Police responded to a report of a crash in the drive-thru lane of the McDonald's at 439 Bridgeport Avenue, said Milford Police.

When officers arrived on the scene Sutton was still in the parking lot, but seeing officers attempted to leave, almost striking an officer. After fleeing, Sutton was finally stopped after being boxed in by other patrol vehicles on Bridgeport Avenue, police said.

Following the stop, in which Sutton refused a breath test, he was charged with DUI, evading responsibility, and interfering with an arrest.

He was released on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 11.
